I do all of my own molding when a project requires it. By keeping it in-house I have greater control over quality and costs. This includes vacuum de-gassing of the molding rubber. I use both flexible silicone (RTV) and urethane rubber. The most important aspect is that I can reproduce a faithful copy no matter what the pattern. When needed I also create hard shell mother molds to support larger patterns, whereby the RTV is minimized to create a lay-up mold or one suitable for roto-casting.

Casting when needed for a project is controlled in-house as well. I use a very stable and minimal shrinkage resin (Easy-flo 60) for both fine detail and to minimize any shrinking of the parts as production needs would expect. Castings can be produced in standard white or tinted (color of choice), as well I do translucent (reds, blues, yellows, etc.) an example of this being the Panel Lamp I reproduced for some studio scale projects. The resin is then pressure treated or in the case of roto-casting, sealed in the mold and rotated.

Standard white and translucent parts. The pressure creates very well detailed parts that are virtually bubble free.

Large models are possible due to the use of roto-casting techniques.
