"IN THE SHOP" WITH SMT

Welcome everyone!

Since 1997 SMT has provided amazing kits, finished miniatures and parts to modelers and collectors worldwide.

I am currently working on my model of the V tanker in 1:35 scale, studio scale and 1/72 scale. I first drew up a set of plans modeled from the SMT studio miniature kit and then 3d modeled (and with some traditional modeling) and produced a set of the parts. These are completely in house SMT files developed from our studio scale V models. That work has been mostly completed and I am proceeding on the build as time permits. I created the entire small shuttle first, but will only be using only the components needed for the Tanker build. Soon I will start to layout the tanks and middle body sections.

As the following model has now been delivered to Heritage Park, I am able to post a few photos. 1/48 (O scale) model of Dingman Well #1 (1914), Turner Valley, AB.

In the meantime,I finally got around to casting up the needed 1/24 scale vintage Tamiya Jagdpanther deck for the flattop tank from Space:1999.
Set of vintage AMT wheels molded and cast for a GOMBS member. Happy modeling!
