BRINGING THE GALAXY HOME IN A BOX
SMT ARCHIVEPresented here is the archive of the various scale models that SMT produced over the past 15+ years.
At the moment I have added the majority of the kits. There is a few missing yet and some I need to find images for. As time permits any remaining SMT kits will be added and their instructions sheets will be available in downloadable PDF format. I have presented the models here as they originally appeared when I was actively producing these kits simply as a way of preserving the information. NONE of the kits presented here are currently for sale by SMT. NO copyright infringement is intended. No endorsement or authorization is implied by the respective owners. |
Kit archive: SPACE:1999
Most of the the series of kits for this show were based to be in scale to the Airfix/MPC/Ertl (now Round2) Eagle transporter. Even those listed as 1/100 which I consider to the correct scale of the Eagle kit. The two exceptions were a 1/48 scaled Hawk (22" Eagle scale) and the 1/1 scaled Stun Gun.
As a footnote all of these kits were part of a licencing deal with Carlton International and all samples sent to them met with their approval. In the end we paid a royalty for all previous use.

Unreleased. This was to be a part of our line of licenced Space:1999 kits.

Kit archive: STAR WARS
Most of this series of kits were done a standard 1/48 scale. So you could display a piece in relation to a military model and at a scale smaller than studio but not so tiny that detail was lost. SMT was the only one doing a line of larger constant scale Sci-Fi kits and I like to think we kept the interest in modeling alive during some rather sparse years.

Kit archive: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA
Once again keeping a common scale this series is in 1/48 scale. In addition to this shuttle, we made the Viper to build in a single OR two seat version.
